一個新的網(wǎng)絡產(chǎn)品，或者一個全新的功能要想吸引用戶的使用興趣，就需要讓用戶在剛一接觸到的時候能夠快速地了解它是什么，能做些什么，并且能馬上開始一些簡單的操作。如果看了很久還沒弄明白這些，那么很可能就徹底放棄了。

所以，設計新手用戶引導，就是設計用戶前一、兩次使用產(chǎn)品時的體驗，設計目標是讓新手用戶快速、無痛苦地成為中間用戶。

先簡單介紹一下這個訓練營的活動流程：

　　講座部分，先是Google工程師寒蕊MM跟我們分享了些HTML5的新技術(shù)概況，其中大致包括：sessionStorage 、localStorage 、Web SQL DateBase 、Indexed DB ，寒蕊MM還專門寫了篇關(guān)于IndexedDB的文章《客戶端數(shù)據(jù)存儲》 ，文章用實例的方式講了Web Storage(localStorage)、Web SQL Database 和 Indexed Database的用法。

　　其中Web SQL Database雖是HTML5的技術(shù)，但由于某些原因，W3C組織(Web Applications Working Group)已不再維護這項技術(shù)，也就是說雖然目前Chrome、FireFox新版本瀏覽器支持這項技術(shù)，但不一定未來的版本還會支持。以下為w3c官網(wǎng)的聲明：

設計中的極簡主義已經(jīng)出現(xiàn)一段時間了，并且現(xiàn)在看起來正在替換內(nèi)容繁多且不必要混亂的設計如網(wǎng)站，海報，廣告，以及商標。對于這些藝術(shù)形式，極簡主義的概念涉及到幾乎要剝除掉已有的附加及戰(zhàn)略性的元素。結(jié)果可以是平靜地，然而強大的設計可以合理的傳達它的信息。你可以在所有的藝術(shù)形式找到極簡設計，從建筑到時尚再到商標設計。

遵循最為時興的設計原則是開辦設計事務所的重要一環(huán)。過去的一年或多或少造就了這樣的觀念，即設計越簡單就越好越有效。

1. Use Larger Logos

At one time, splash pages were extremely popular. But then so were man-bags, and both are not much in demand today! Why not use an over sized logo to end up with the feel of a splash page? You could get the same effect with a larger than normal header design. YES, we are saying you could make the logo as large as half of the screen size! If you wish for a better overall UX, this is the way to go.

曾幾何時，醒目頁面（Splash page)極為流行，連那時的男用背包也是如此。但今天，這兩者都風光不再了！何不用一個超大的LOGO來營造醒目頁面的感覺呢？你可以把頁首（header）做得比普通的尺寸大一點，來獲得同樣的效果。沒錯，我們說的是，你可以把Logo弄到屏幕的一半那么大！如果你想要更好的用戶體驗，就得這么做。

2. Keep it Simple

二、保持簡單

Simple themes have been around for quite some time already, what with big names like facebook and twitter having influenced users with the ‘less is more’ train of thought. A large number of media sites today follow in their footsteps, using a lot of blank spaces on their design templates. The idea is to have the opposite of a cluttered design. The modern mantra is to do away with left-nav and right-nav and keep the user as occupied as possible on page content rather than distractions! Blank space on a design can later always be used to offer advertising space if your site kicks off big time.

簡單風格也存在了一些時日了。像Facebook、Twitter這些大牌們一直在引導“少就是多”這一理念。大批的媒體網(wǎng)站追隨著他們的腳步，在設計模板上使用大量的留白。這與擁擠型設計截然相反?，F(xiàn)代派的真經(jīng)是破除左導航、右導航的糾結(jié)，讓用戶盡可能專注在頁面內(nèi)容上，而不要被分心！如果哪天你的網(wǎng)站發(fā)達了，設計中的空白區(qū)再來用于廣告用途也為時不晚啊。

優(yōu)秀的設計應該是創(chuàng)新的

創(chuàng)新的可能性是永遠存在并且不會消耗殆盡的。科技日新月異的發(fā)展不斷為創(chuàng)新設計提供了嶄新的機會。 同時創(chuàng)新設計總是伴隨著科技的進步而向前發(fā)展，永遠不會完結(jié)。

A Word About Content

 

I usually make a big deal about content preceding design, and presentations are no exception. Ideally, you’ll have the topic and much or all of the content outlined before you even think about design. This will in every way shape the appearance of your design, which is why working from pre-built templates isn’t always the best move (though generic templates can and do work great in some circumstances).

概括內(nèi)容

通常，我會在設計內(nèi)容導入上下很大功夫，做報告時也是如此。理想情況是，在設計幻燈片之前，你得明晰主題和內(nèi)容大綱。這會決定幻燈片設計的各方各面，也是為什么選用預制模板并非總是最佳方案的原因（盡管在有些情況下，通用模板效果頗佳）。

The reason that I bring this up is that I don’t really have an actual presentation in mind for this project. I’ll be running with a basic theme, but the textual information will be entirely placeholder copy. Your image, font, color and layout selection shouldn’t necessarily match mine but instead reflect the topic and content you’re working with.

Choosing A Color Scheme

 

Before I even open Photoshop (yes, I design PowerPoint/Keynote slides in Photoshop and drop them in, thought it helps if you do the te), I want to find a color scheme on which to base my entire design. When I need to quickly find several colors that go together I usually start with Kuler. Not only is it a great way to build your own color schemes, it’s an outstanding source to find schemes built by others that you can just grab for your projects.
